HD Radio in 2000 Durango
As for the old radio, the HD radio uses it to function. My config has the antenna go into a connector unit, the connector unit into and then back out of the HD tuner. There is also a connection from the connector unit to where the antenna originally went into the old radio. It sounds complicated when written, but it actually isn't. It works the same as the FM transmitters for ipods and the like, but it does it through a wire so there is less (or no) interference (and less extra antennas sticking all over your dash). I was able to pretty much keep all the wires in the dash, which my wife was happy about.
It is this one on Amazon for $28 + like $3 for the professional install kit + shipping...http://www.amazon.com/JVC-KT-HDP1-Tr...8309783&sr=8-2
Again, thanks. I'll be around figuring out other ways to fix up my Durango (power windows and locks are next!).;-)
