Default new transmission fluid and filter and now no power

after having the fluid and both filters changed i have no forward or reverse gears. its a 2000 durango 4.7. any help? putting it in gear it bogs down like its trying to go but nothing happens. its also giving a p0700 code. scanner says 1st gear ratio is wrong.. what happened??

This definitely concerns me. Did you do the fluid/filter change yourself? One problem I've seen before is the spin on filter being an older one and the filter doesn't provide adequate enough flow. Also what type of fluid did you use?

If you used ATF +4 then you're in the clear but if you used something off the auto parts store shelf it sounds like you just burned up a clutch pack. Keep in mind ATF-4 or ATF4 is NOT the same as ATF +4.

I'd first check fluid level and ensure its not low.

yes it is the atf plus 4. i had a mechanic friend do it and the filters look exact as the old. this is immediately after putting new fluids in and starting it up letting it run a couples of minutes and nothinwhen going in hear.

Check the filter in pan for correct application.....If you have the old one it will be easy to do.....I suspect the incorrect filter was installed....
