Fix your heated seats for free
I followed your instructions, found the burn mark in the heating pad, but the wire itself (at the burned area) is not burned. The wire still has the insulation on it and is in one piece. Is this still the suspect area? Thanks.
Okey doeky! Thanks! I will investigate that area. Also, this is a 2003 Durango SLT Plus, under this seat there is a white connector. The black wire has been cut from this connector and bypassed/connected directly to the black wire coming from the floorboard. In other words, the white connector has been bypassed. This was this way when I bought it. Any idea what that would have been done? Also, do the heater elements plug into the seat motors? I can't find a direct connection from the floor to the heating elements. Sure appreciate your help.
Just got done putting the seat back in and it WORKS! I now have a working rump roaster just in time for the cold weather. Thanks a million for posting this information, can't imagine how much money you saved me.
iirc there are two plugs under there, one for the motors and controls and one for the heaters
yup two plugs, a white one and a green one

the colors could be different on the 2003 but it should be the same connections going to the same places.
glad i could help and glad you got it fixed.
