Default Just sayin again!!

I'm so glad i have the 1st gen Durango. I just saw the commercial for the 2011 Durango and i really think it should be named "Caradango", cuz it looks like a futuristic caravan.....sorry, thats just my opinion. Why do the Dodge Engineers have to ruin a good thing?

I totally agree bowhunt. I think the inside looks cool as well as the front end. Funny one time I was driving on the highway and saw one behind me and managed to snap a picture of it following it's grandpa! LOL

That's pretty cool.... The first generation D is pretty well alive still in our area and as long as the female gender stays alive so will the D.... they seem to all be eating up the 1st gen D while there boyfriends/husbands are crazy with the RAM....

In my case I got both! Got my Ram 3500 and my Durango and love them both. When it comes to the more trustworthy however, gotta go with the D!

It looks to me like what would happen if a Dodge Caravan and a Rav4 had a kid....lol. Anyway, the engineers always seems to foul it up some way or another. I say bring back nostalgia and produce the 426 (real) Hemi again. The Wedges and Rockets. All the great engines of the past. I'm just ranting....lol

I'd take the 2011 D over a 2nd gen D anyday haha. I must say though, I've notice for the 1st gen being already 13 years old, compared to other vehicles made in 1998, it certainly still looks stylish and doesn't have that "old car" look at all. The 2nd gen just looks like a caravan on steriods, and the 3rd gen looks like a really big crossover. Still the 3rd gen has a really nice interior and a ton of awesome features I wish I had in my 1st gen D *cough* HEMI *cough*.

Overall it's actually pretty impressive what chysler did to make the 2011 D still have awesome the power and towing, competive MPGs for an SUV, AWD, and all of the luxary features all combined in one vehicle. It just makes me absolutly sick with all these 4 cylinder front wheel drive garbage SUVs ford and GM are putting out today.

It just goes to show, Mopar goes all in ***** out with their vehicles instead of being competitive with Ford or GM.

I agree, Dodge does go over and beyond. But from a redneck stand point, it seems like they go outa there way to keep us from lifting and modifying these vehicles. I was trying to picture the 2011 with a lift and 33's....lol. It's not gonna work. The 1st Gen is fairly easy to work on, but just imagine what the 2011 has under the hood for electronics.

Oh yeah but in that perspective, imagine the new Ford Explorer with a lift an stuff. It's just trying to please the public and what the country wants now.

I would imagine the Durango has far less electronics than the rest of the other car manufacturers. Think of the Ford with that Sync crap wired so it can know if you're falling asleep.

Shoot if I fall asleep I think the ditch I land in will wake me up. I don't need no fancy sensors LOL
