It's on the front of the intake manifold, behind and to the right of the the A/C compressor.

I just went to check. Looking in from the hood to right of A/C compressor there are two connectors. between alternator and compressor. The first one I am about 99.5% sure is the coolant temp sensor. Is the MAP sensor the other one? the one attached to the intake manifold? I figure yes but have to ask the obvious?

Remember 2003 4.7?

Yes MAP should be other one. You can definitely tell the difference between the 2.

I got the MAP sensor located..Any ideas on how to check it? A quick way?

Back to the Throttle cable return spring for a minute......Any ideas on how to test it or check the return spring. Which is the return spring? Photos would me much appreciated.

To clean it just get a can of throttle body cleaner and use the stray to spray it inside where the vacuum line goes. This should clean it out well.

If you can, I don't have a picture handy of a 4.7 throttle body so just take a picture of it on the passenger side where the throttle cable connects and I can circle it for you.

MAGIC sent me a picture of his throttle cables and for reference, anyone wanting to know what to clean I circled the throttle return spring.

I have a 98 Durango with a 5.2 it was doing all those same things about a year ago. Shortly after I started having the issue my transmission went out. I bought a new one from dodge and replaced it in my garage. Problem has been gone ever since. Does the revving occur during shifting?

The stalling when coming to a quick stop and revving issues while driving could be caused by a transmission problem like jbar said. The random revving while in park is just the only thing that isn't transmission related. With you having the 4.7L motor I don't know if your transmission would show the same symptoms as one with bands. But it don't hurt to at least check the level and condition of your tranny fluid.

What exact plugs do you have in there?

Have you physically pulled the Throttle Body and cleaned it FULLY and re-install? Did you reset the PCM correctly and in between each fix you did?

Your problem reaks of and intake or spark issue.

Hydra, just to make sure we are on the same thread. Are you talking to me or Jbar with that question?

Others. I dont want to jinx myself but so far so good. I removed/cleaned/reinstalled MAP sensor and cleaned the MAP sensor housing along with the Battery/PCM reset procedure and other than a couple of stumbles during initial start...(T/B cleaner working through system) I am good. I will post follow up in a few days to make sure it is still working.

The Throttle body return spring lube/cleaning is on hold....Awaiting parts......(WD-40) I will pick up during my lunch walk off at Wal-Mart!!!
