I have a '03 4.7 Durango, for the last 2 years ive been dealing with my engine revving when im in park, rpm's shoot up when im driving down the rode and stalling every now and then when i come to quick stop. Ive had it in to the shop numerous times and no one can seem to find the problem, after reading the web searching for my own answer I decided to try a new throttle position sensor today...no luck. Does anyone have any ideas that i should try, this is getting really old. Also, it doesnt do this everyday but almost, so its not consistent. Thanks for any help!
P.S. Also if anyone knows anything about sunroofs, my sunroof opened today and will not shut, dont know if its a bad switch or motor...i hear nothing when i try and open or shut. No motor noise

Close but no cigar. No distributor on the 4.7 so no cap or wires.
Did you reset the PCM after you replaced the TPS? This is a must so the computer can re-learn the settings for the new TPS output.
Also yes check return spring for the throttle cable and make sure it's working as it should.
I recommend cleaning out the IAC and port because it could be letting too much air in and causing it to idle high. Also check all vacuum lines for leaks. Focus first on the EVAP vacuum line that goes from front of TB to EVAP port on driver side firewall.
Also check the PCV valve line as if its original it's likely to have cracks in it.
