Cool 10 wires in the spark plug kit

Hi,

This is probably a stupid question but I can't figure it out. I was replacing my spark plug wires - there were 10 wires in the box. Obviously 8 for the distributor to plugs and one to the coil. But the last wire (about a foot long) goes where?

Thanks
Nigel

I got the same thing, the ends are exposed on the last remaining wire. I bought the autolite premium set. I just threw it away, I have no idea what it's for, maybe tests or something?

Yeah all the sets I've gotten only included 9 so maybe one for normal coil lead length and a longer one. The foot long one is usually used for the coil lead.

Well, if you would have got the right set from the dealer or MSD you wouldn't have that extra and had the better "right" wires........

At this point anything was better than my stock wires haha, although the blue light show under my hood in the dark was pretty cool with the old set.
