Default Quick Tire Advice Needed: GoodYear Wrangler P235/75R15 105S

Blew DSR tire on the HWY today on the way home from work.

GoodYear Wrangler P235/75R15 105S

Not the worst thing in the world as the rear two were about 65% anyway. I'm trying to decide right now whether to replace the two rear tires or go with a whole new set. If I were to replace all four, I'd likely upgrade to something more aggressive.

I REALLY like the Goodyear WRANGLER DURATRAC. The price is obviously a factor considering they are much more expensive. But, boy do they look sweet!

411: I never tow anything. I drive 30 miles each day to and from work. I'm not one to do a ton of off road. I live in lower MI so snow does play a significant factor for part of the year.

Anyone care to comment on this specific set of circumstances? I have read all of the "tire" threads but that's a lot of opinions all related to the owner's specific set up.

Thanks!

GG

If you are Buying a Set of 4 tires, first thing i would look up is Incentive. Different Manufacturer offers Rebates on a set of 4 tires all the time.

GoodYears are pretty decent, they have the balance of traction, comfort, and longevity. I havent seen anyone use Duratrac on their truck yet, but those tires looks pretty agressive for Daily driving. Tho, goodyear is running $40-$80 rebate right now.

For a trucks that you drive 30miles everyday, i would assume you want something Comfortable, off roading tires are rough and noisy as it age. Altho it provide aswm traction and longevity.

I think the best bang for the Bucks for trucks are BF-Goodrich tires, Long Trail T/A tour. They are cheap, comfortable, great traction, and last about 40-50K miles.

I love Michelin Tires, but they are always cost way more than it's competitor. However, they have $70 MIB now, which ease your pain a little.

btw, i am looking at Tirerack.com
