Default diff locking kit

so i absolutely hate having an open diff in the back. every trail around here is nice and wet and muddy but i only like to use 4x4 on rare occasions. its hard going through this stuff on technically one wheel. so my question is this, do they make a part time locking kit for a 98? ive installed a few on chevys but cant seem to find one for my d. any help is greatly appreciated

You could install a aussie locker.

i dont like that thats a full time locker, but anythings better than nothing. that should fit right in there without any modifications right?

Correct but also keep in mind you can also get an LSD which won't affect gas mileage and is much better than what you have now.

There are plenty of PT and FT lockers available for his Chrysler Corporate 8.25 and 9.25 rear differentials. Here are options for the 1998 4X4 Durango:

I couldn't find the front 1998-1999 Durango 194 IFS Front Axle lockers. You might be stuck with an open gearing. The C205F Front axle which is available in 2000+ is available however.

UMMMMM Mr White can yu explain that one to me lol ,i`m old amd slow ...though i`ve never seen a LSd that effects mileage , not sure what yu meant??..i have full on posi in rear not a LSd style ,,,100 % traction to both wheels in rear i find very nice in driving

I mean Limited Slip provides power to the wheel which has most traction, over a full locker that provides power to both wheels at all times.

Typically a LSD won't suffer gas mileage when retrofitting it in versus a PT locker which will.
