Have you tuned the new TPS? That helps in that department! Look in here http://bionicdodge.com/Download/Spee...d%20Tricks.pdf starting on page 20. I don't agree with all of this manual, but there is some good info in it.

You can also Index your distributor. Here are some easier to read instructions: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...er-please.html

hyrda had to put the OEM Tps back in as both the replacements broke in the same spot. I was looking at a delphi tps but I have never heard of the company.

Removing what cable from what? To replace the TPS you just unscrew the old one and screw the new one back on. You have to turn it like an 1/8 of a turn but not anything to break it.

Are you sure you're turning it the proper direction? You have to turn it opposite of the throttle resistance or it will cause your idle to be high.

This is a picture of a TPS so we know you're replacing the right thing here because no cables come into play replacing the Throttle Position Sensor.

I hate Checkers/O'reilly's/Kragen. I've always have issues when I go there.

I go to Auto Zone, NAPA, and the dealer (occasionally).

It seems here they both use the the same companies for parts.
