Got one today, installed it, than tried it out. Started and let it idle for awhile, after about 20minutes the idle started falling and jumping back up. backfiring when gas was pushed. same as before, so no change.

Any other ideas before I put a new pcm in?

these trucks dont need to be idling that long, the engine was just mad at you for leaving it alone so long

it will do the same thing if you run it, but you can only use it for 10-15 minutes before it wont rev at all and it backfires and wont idle.

Yeah, in the 11 years I've had my truck I've never let it idle 20 minutes. I'd kick you too if you let me idle for 20 minutes. LOL

Imagine this group of icons to reenact what your truck was doing after letting it sit 20 minutes, it simply let you know who was boss.

What exact O2 sensor did you replace?

Did you replace it with an auto parts brand sensor or a dealership one?
