This could be the problem then because these vehicles are picky ok why brand O2 sensor they like to accept. I replaced mine with a Bosch and it was a no go.

IIRC the dealer O2 sensor brand is Denso so I'd recommend going that route.

I dont think its the o2 sensor. It has the exact same problem as before, it didnt change. And normally a bad o2 sensor wont cause it to run as bad as it does. You cant even drive this thing after 15-20min, it runs that bad you cant even keep it running.

an off-brand o2 sensor can behave just the same as a bad o2 sensor bc the computer is not receiving the expected signals from the o2 sensor, get the correct sensor and see if it works we have a pretty good clue what we are talking about. if you dont want to listen to our advice thats fine, but then dont expect us to keep helping if you keep ignoring us.

Well yeah and listen to what I'm saying. It doesn't even run and backfires horribly because you are running extremely rich. Unless your PCM is shot it doesn't just run rich on it's own. I know you're running rich because that backfire is unburnt fuel combusting and likely why your CAT was glowing.

Our vehicles do not like off brand O2 sensors, simple as that. You need to replace it with a Bosch or a dealer sensor because your truck is not liking the one thats on there now.

That's all I have to say and I had the same problems as you and yeah it's frustrating having to buy another part because you couldn't follow hydra's recommendation back on like post #3 but live and learn.

I've given my advise but apparently you know better.

You guys were right. I bought a denso O2 sensor and installed it, runs fine now. They shouldnt even sell things for these that dont work with them.
Thanks alot, you saved me money by not having to take it to the shop cause I would have never thought that it needed to be OEM.

Thanks again!!

Good to know everything worked out in your best effort. I had a hunch it was the O2 sensor from the get go and that's why I was pushing you to get a dealer sensor from the get go.

You will help a lot of people in the future with this post I promise!
