Default 98 shift problems

i know not another trans problem. 1998 durango 5.2 have to let up off the gas to get it to shift from 1st to 2nd, other than that trans fine. 163000 now, see they had trans flushed @127000. i just got it so don't know history. ideas? thanks

Either check your kickdown cable and adjust it if needed or adjust your bands. If that kickdown cable is too tight it will stay in lower gear untill you give it some slack.
Also tranny flushes are never good, always do a purge if you want to get all your old fluid out.
