a simple question
can i swap my 98 4x4 trans with a 99 2x trans?i dont have the money to rebuild or buy another but i got a friend with a 992x truck he's parting out.can i use the trans from his truck for my 4x4 durango?if so what mods will i have to do along with the swap?your help would be grateful.

If the engines are the same, then yes you can.
You will have to remove tail end off the 2wd so it matches yours because yours is a 4X4 and attaches to the transfer case where his has a tail section that attaches to his drive line. I would take his sensors as well but they should be plug and play with yours.
