Sorry Guys:
About a year ago the D started to stall, after a month it would run great but only for 15 minuets. I changed:
1) Fuel pump.
2) ignition Coil.
3) Up-graded PCM (PCM checked and OK).
4) Changed TPS.
5) Changed Mass Air Flow Sensor.
6) Changed Temp Sensor.
7) Changed Crank Sensor.
8) Changed Idle Air relay.

I was shooting in the dark because they was no code reading on the computer. After about $2500 I came to point where I would have bite the bullet and scrap it. The D sat in my yard for a year, I put a new battery in it and it ran for 15 minuets. When I put the battery in I noticed a sensor under the battery so I unplugged it and the D does not stall any more!

Does anyone know what that sensor is?

battery temp sensor, is used to calculate a few things, one of them is battery charging rate, if that battery heats up too much it slows down the charging, sounds like it was reading a high temp at the battery and stopping the charging, hence the battery was being drained, when it got too weak the truck would stall out.

im gonna move this for you to the 1st generation section where it belongs, and im gonna ask why you posted it here??? and why you didnt read the "read this first" sticky at the top of the page, i really want to know so that i can try to prevent people from posting in here for their own sake NOONE except me reads this section
