Guess I didn't. I thought you were referring to the OEM newer 6x9 folding mirrors to swap out the dumbos.

These:

Regardless, as I said before the shape of the mirror location on the Ram doors is different than the Durango, it won't matter whether or not it's a towing mirror or the standard mirror.

No it's not different I have a Ram 3500 and they are the exact same thing I promise you I just was referring to the mounting bolts when I asked. Like I said before you tried it out from a 97 Ram and they made a change in 98. I guess I just rip apart my Ram to see if those mirrors will work...

I'm pretty sure they will though I just didn't want to rip my door panel off if I didn't have to.

I know this because I swapped mirrors on my Ram to the newer 98 style "dumbo" mirrors and not the chrome plated plastic mirrors from the 94-97 models.

While I had the mirror off I tried to fit it on the Durango.. It was differently shaped.

But, suit yourself.

Just took my mirrors off my Ram and logik, you are full of ****. The mirrors matched right up and the only thing was the mounting was a bit off but I could make it fit. I didn't want to do that the hard way but I had to and ended up getting my answer that way.

For future reference if you have a 2000 Durango and want to use your mirrors off a 2000 Ram 3500 go for it because they are almost the same damn thing. Thank you everyone for your time.

I want a set of these for my Ram. I need the heated and powered version.

But right now I'm working on my exhaust to cure a performance issue I've been having.

Honestly, you say they matched right up but the mounting points were different?

I'm not going to argue, I'll admit to being wrong "IF" I see them mounted up and showing how they fit and whether or not they could pass as factory installed. And if they do, kudos to you.

I cannot verify the difference between the towing mirror as I have no experience with those. So yes, you have proved me wrong with the towing mirrors, but I will continue to disagree with you in the Ram DUMBO mirrors being different than a Durango/Dakota DUMBO mirror. Not only on the mounting bolts (as I mentioned in my first post I couldn't remember if they were the same or not) but they ARE slightly different. It does not matter, obviously as your post obviously was not related to the dumbos.

Anyway, post up some pictures when you get a set and mounted. I'd like to see.
