K&n filter size
Ok, im going try to add an CAI to my 4.7 after I finish sea foaming the girl and swappin the oil. But honestly im not exactly sure what size of filter I need, and EXACTLY what size of piping/clamps I need to make the cai, im planning on using an cone filter and have it slightly tilted against the grill (i have the rubber shield removed) and have the pipe run straight to the TB.
What is the widest physical sized filter can fit in between the headlight and washer fluid bottle? I would like to keep the filter the closet against the grill as possible, thanks.
Also links would be GREATLY appreciated.

Honestly, you would have to check your clearance with a tape measure to see what your biggest available filter size would be. Most (including me) have a flange diameter of 4" and that is plenty enough for my build, and I promise you my build is stronger than yours! LOL
That being said I'd just go with a 4" because you're really not going to notice much of a difference going bigger than that...

Also, here's a link to the K&N FIPK kit and basically is an all you need kit to do a CAI kit and is designed to fit perfectly:

Old_School, K&N makes a recharge kit and rather than me go on and describe how to do it, I'll give you a couple of links...
First link is a PDF of instructions on how to clean and oil it:

Second link is available items on K&N's filter cleaning line, you choose which exact product you want to use because they have numerous ways on how to clean/oil/recharge the filter:

Hope that helps!
