Default Did some wheeling this weekend...

Got the truck out with a few buddies and had some fun. I recorded a video in 1080i but unfortunately you can't upload that to YouTube. :P I do have a high quality version on my Facebook, so if anyone wants to see it in high quality add me on Facebook to see it. Scroll to the bottom to see the YouTube version.

Here are a few pics… Guy in the ZR2 blazer was buried deep. Apparently the mud got up into the fan shroud and buzzed the fan, fracturing a blade and throwing it through the radiator. We ended up having to pull him out and tow him off the trail (took about 3 hours) Guy in the Chevy wasn't stuck, he parked it there.

The convoy… Two fullsize Chevy pickups (one with Rockwells), a ZR2 blazer, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and my Durango.

And of course how I setup my video rig for the one video… Big thanks to Angry Hampster for the excellent setup. I had my buddy record some video without the rig, because I wasn't sure if it was going to handle the bumps and stuff. It did AMAZINGLY well. If I had of known it was that nice I'd have left it on the rig the entire time.

And last but not least, one of the videos! I'll add the rest as soon as they're done converting/uploading/processing.

It looks like you had one hell of a time. Did you ever get stuck while you were out? I have the exact same Durango as you, and I hope to set it up pretty much like yours as soon as I can.

Definitely had a lot of fun. Didn't break anything, just acquired a few scratches here and there. In the vids you can hear a few branches and stuff scraping the truck.. Ooops.

One of the reasons I will never own a new truck. I had one before and wouldn't even think about taking it off road (new 2002 GMC Duramax), one of the reasons I sold it to the dealer and bought a used Durango. Now I don't want to wreck it, or have it look like crap, but if I hit something I'll be pissed, but I'll keep going and not dwell on it.

just a theory... would it be possible to get truck bed liner and paint your rig with it? wouldn't that be a pretty good protective coating and look like a flat black paint job? or am i just crazy for thinkin this..
