I don't deny that it COULD be the wires. However, I am merely trying to help the OP definitively determine the source of the problem before dropping a bunch of cash on parts that may not be causing the problem.

Diagnostics 101: start simple, don't replace parts randomly. Otherwise, you learn very little and, unless you're lucky, you waste money.

Tara, I apologize for getting off subject but have you narrowed it down? Is it still acting up?

Good to meet you Tara and welcome to the forum,

I think it's you fuel pump personally.

To test this, open the hood, on the drivers side is a fuel rail (on top of the motor) that is inline and goes to each of fuel injectors there will be a screw on cap. Take off the cap. This cap is actually covering a valve like one that looks like one on a tire valve. if you press on this valve after trying to start and fuel doesn't spray out and only dribbles then it's a fuel pump.

To replace a fuel pump the fuel tank needs to be dropped and the entire unit replaced. The fuel pump unit is actually the fuel pump, filter, and regulator all in one.

Same issue here....and I've put the sea foam stuff in it after the dealership claims I've gotten bad gas. They get my Durango, kept it 2 weeks and I get it back and same thing. Sometimes it seems it goes dead when I press the gas. Goes dead when I pull up at a stop sign a few times also. Any help to give this dealer an idea where to find this problem is greatly appreciated. Need help guys cause my husband is deployed.
Im a 1 owner vehicle, I keep all the oil changes and everything else done. I have taken great care of my Durango. Love it.....just not so dependable at this time
