2001 4.7 Rough Idle Need a solution!
I think sam's reply wasn't meant as "agitating" in any way and you need to get some thinker skin before posting up something like "look in the mirror". You have had many of incorrect posts.
Nobody called you an ***!........With that I think you need to chill out!

PLEASE let **** go this is just the internet, its NOT real life and you need to understand that you are allowed to disagree, but please keep it civil in the open forum, if you cannot do that, PLEASE feel free to PM me and i will help in any way that i can.
So I changed all the spark plugs. It took me about 4 hours, since I really didn't know what I was doing. The hardest part was pulling out the coil packs, after that everything was smooth. Now that I know how the procedure goes, I figure I could get the time down to about 2 hours. It has stopped the shaking in the truck. The old plugs were so worn down the gap was around .085...double and then some of the normal gap. Thanks for all the help! -M
+2 sharps...Coil packs should last the life of the vehicle unless they break. Although they may be listed as interchangeable I personally would recommend keeping them with the cyilinders makes it a little easier with changing and hopefully if there is a problem easier to identify problem coil.
I will say that you shouldn't have any problems with the coil packs; however some shops like to tell you to replace them at around 100,000 miles just as preventative maintenance. Personally, if you have the money and don't mind sinking it then replace them, but that is a large expense for no real reason other than piece of mind. So with that, I really have to agree with the boys and say that it's not needed until they go bad.
+3 on the cheap Champion Copper spark plugs. That's what the platforms the motor was built on and are always guarantied to run in a stock motor. Gap at .040 before install. My personal favorite are the Champion Truck Plug, but they are getting hard to find. Plugs should be changed at about 15k mile or yearly intervals for peak performance.
