Not sure if you got this resolved or not, but I just had this same issue with my '02 4.7L .. Dealt with it for 3 months thinking it was the IAC or a vac line.. Around the 3 month mark I got codes for fuel injectors 5 and 7.. Replaced all 8 and it rides smooth again, idles normally and no more jumping. This was about a month ago that I replaced them, just got some OEM refurbs on eBay for about 120$.

Might be worth a shot.

no got it fixed it was a $28 tps fixed it runs great. minus the fact the i have to fix the front rear drive shaft cv joint they suck really bad.
