If this doesn't fix it you might as well go with replacing all the vapor hoses under the hood. I used 5/16" fuel line instead of vapor hose. It holds up to heat much better than vapor hose. I think I used close to eight feet. If I remember correctly there is a small segment of 1/4" hose in the mix also. Anyway, fuel hose is not expensive, and non-fuel injected fuel hose is even cheaper.

When I did my Durango the faulty hose was actually under the truck and was venting off the front of the fuel tank. It was hard to get my hand over the tank to pull off the bad hose (again 5/16").

Well, that EVAP hose kit came today, and I put both of them on...the old hoses were pretty dirty...but not split or anything...well not going to reset the CEL yet..gonna wait and see if the light goes off in a couple of days or something...if not guess I will need to double-check the lines going to the purge solenoid underneath the battery as well as look real hard around the gas tank...this is getting to be a pain....

Modain, well my CEL light is still on..apparently those 2 new hoses did not fix my problem. So, I crawled back under my truck again, (My neck is killing me!!) and pulled off one end of the other hose that goes from the canister to the fuel tank. Well i did see a really small like rip or split in the hose...I really could not tell if it actually went through and was leaking though. So I went ahead and cut the end off of it anyway and pushed it back on the canister..afterwards I looked at the piece I cut off real close...sure enough...I was able to stick the end of the blade of my pocket knife through the split...just to see if the actual wall of the hose was breached..and the blade went right through...and this was a dull blade, so I know the hole was already there...hopefully this was my leak! I reset the CEL with my Superchips tuner...hope it stays off! But Modain, you mentioned lines around the fuel tank...well I was looking all around mine as well after I fixed that hose...was feeling all around my fuel cell and all I could feel was the metal or plastic lines...but your saying there is also regular "soft' vacuum lines around the fuel cell as well?

I'm pretty sure the one you repaired was the one I was talking about. If it's the one I'm thinking about - if you were to disconnect it from the tank line you'd have to squeeze your hand into a very tight and awkward space above the tank to pull it from the hard line. You will know in a day or two if this was the bad hose. Sounds like it is to me...
