Sounds good,

Didn't you replace the entire Intermediate Steering Shaft?

I did find this when I was searching for Replacement Intermediate Couplers / Intermediate U-joints / Intermediate Universal Joints

Ya know what makes me sick, we've been searching for these U-joints for years. The sad part is you know people make them here in the USA and they should only be like $8 bucks. All we need to do is find them ya know?

I still think it's best to replace the entire shaft because of the compression shock in the middle. I would also be concerned about the need for a snap ring. There is no groove in the shaft. They stamped four notches in the outer surface instead of using a clip.

I think a found a complete shaft for $140. I just need to check if my connection to the steering box is splined or not. This is the company that manufactuars them in Canada. The guy said Dodge makes it tough because they keep changing the part number even if there aren't any changes.

Is that shaft the root cause of steering play?

I have a little bit of steering play, from straight, I can move the steering wheel maybe 0.5" to the left or the right before it feels tight and the wheels start to move.

Just have someone turn the wheel while you are looking at the column. You will see if the joint moves before the steering box turns.
