Dodge Durango Power Steering Problems
Last winter I blew out my power steering pump due to excessive turning while doing doughnuts in the snow. No judging there I like to have fun. Anyway, I replaced my power steering pump and it worked fine for about a month but then it began leaking again. From what I can tell the o-ring seems to be bad on the pressure line into the pump. When I replaced the o-ring I could see how the old o-ring had gotten squished and was oddly shaped. I replaced the o-ring and yet it still leaks from what looks like this spot. I'm not sure what to do from here. Does the o-ring I'm replacing have to be of exact size, or can it be a very close estimate? Or is it maybe not leaking from this spot and I'm missing it.
I have used a power steering + stop leak fluid and it did stop the leak but only for a while and then it began leaking bad again. I don't want to have to annually change the fluid I want to fix this permanently. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I'd replace the whole high pressure line rather than just the o ring and use some loctite for some reassurance. Yes, the o ring does have to be an exact size and IIRC, my high pressure line was provided with the correct o ring. I do have the 5.9 so the 4.7 would be a little different ball game as for the line coming with the o ring or not but if you have the 5.9 also you should be good to go.
FWIW, 4.7 lines come with the proper O-ring as well. +1 on replacing the entire line, they're reasonably inexpensive. Make sure that the pump hole is clean before inserting the new line, junk in there (rust / corrosion from the old fitting) can mess with the seal.

My engine is a 2000, 4.7, and the new power steering pump that I had bought for it did come with an o-ring but when I put the line in with the o-ring the ring only went half way in so like half the ring was squished. If changing that pressure line is inexpensive that should be quite the easy solution if it works which I believe it would. I may have also had old power steering fluid in the pump hole. Also the o-ring is probably the wrong size. This is great for now things to work with here. Any other possible suggestions would be a great help.

If I remember correctly doesn't the ring go onto a groove on the fitting that's part of the line set? If you pinched an O-ring when installing it that would certainly make it leak.
The pump hole I was referring to was the threaded hole on the pump that accepts the line fitting. When you removed the old line debris may have gotten lodged in there. Old fluid won't harm anything.
