Default Head Gasket.

2001 Dodge Durango 5.9
About how much would it be to have the head gaskets done? I think one of mine are bad.

Justin:

How many miles on your D? If the miles are high, probably a good thing to do both sides, and have the heads gone over while they are off.

My guess will be somewhere in the $1200-$1500 total having both heads reconditioned and checked for cracks.

I would make sure you indeed have a blown HG before spending the bucks.

There is a test that can be done to see if there are exhaust remnants in the coolant.

That is always something good to hear! LOL I'm glad for you it wasn't a blown head gasket.
