Default 5.9L performance input needed

Hello, I have a 98 Durango SLT 5.9L Magnum and I was wanting to get some advice on performance upgrades for it. Such as tunes, part upgrades, rebuilds, etc etc. I'm gonna be doing and investing a lot into the truck. Gas mileage is not an issue for me. So...anyone have any good input to give me more torque, power, horsepower, and durability for this truck? Any advice is helpful.

Default Terms

My terms are many and its gonna take a lot of searching to find it all. HAHA! My main thing right now is that I am wanting to upgrade my transmission and rebuild it along with my motor. I am going to be finding builder blocks to do such. I am curious as to what performance parts are best to apply to the transmission. I've done stock rebuilds and I am not looking for that. Someone at the autoparts store said something about straight gears. What exactly does this help in?

Here is what you should do on the transmission. Ignore the "was that so hard" quip on the page. That is Google's, not mine. Sometimes those less intelligent get whacky thinking there is something rude going on. There isn't.
