Thumbs down anyone know brakes?

OK here the deal My wife has been complaining to me the past week that here wheel has been making a sqeaking sound when she braked. ok no problem I headed down to the auto zone got a set of pads and figured a easy fix.... Wrong nothing wrong with the brakes what i found was the sqeaking sound was comming from the outside hardwear spring rubbing on the hub.. After taking it all apart I found that the mounting pin on the bottom was striped on the (i think its called) steering knuckle. here is my problem what to do? i cant put back together with out the pin in place but i cant get pin to bite.. tapping hole bigger is out of question on on corner of hole there is only a 1/8in to work with dont thnk it would work. so here i sit 10:30 thursday night looking for help..any ideas would be great.

im assuming your truck is between model years 98-03, and if it is the stock bolt you have 3 options,
1) larger caliper bolt
2) helicoil the exisiting bolt
3) new steering knuckle

also this belongs in one of the sub sections, 1st generation if i guessed right on the year

my suggestion is to helicoil it... its the cheepest way to do it... its what i did to my truck and its worked perfectly and it takes maybe an hour... its easy too

just make sure when you do it you take your time... be patient... it took a couple times before i got the coil part in straight and the bolts would fit... so take your time, be patient and dont rush it... i just did this about 2 months ago on my drivers side knuckle.
