dont flush the tranny, just change the fluid in the pan and the filter, and adjust the bands tranny flushes are known to cause more and bigger problems

Trany flushes are the worst thing you can do! Don't do it!

Thanks for all the advice. I decided not to get the flush. I pulled the pan and pulled the solenoids out and cleaned them and put it back together with fresh filter and ATF+4. Sadly the code came back, so i pulled the pan again and ordered a set of solenoids from one of the retailers you guys listed (can't find the name right now), anyway, should have the kit by the weekend and I'll change it out and redo the fluids and hopefully this time I'll get rid of the codes. Thankfully my wife is out of town for the next week and I don't need it on the road.

Will let you guys know the results once I get them installed.

Would you happen to have a link to where the full governor assembly is sold?

Latest update!! Seriously P'd OFF. Spent the last 2 weeks waiting on 700800Transmission to send me the new kit they advertise for the 46RE tranny. They gave me the run around and finally sent me second hand parts. "it doesn't say new on our site", is what I was quoted when I questioned them. So I took their word that it'll be ok "as they are warrantied" for 5 yrs. It lasted a day and now I have the P1762 code back and it won't shift.

I'm at a loss right now as what to do, it's the 4th of July weekend and I'm leaving for 4 days on Tuesday for work.

I've wasted 2 weeks and 5 qts of AT+F and $117 on a part that doesn't even work.

Any thoughts before I take action against these guys as to any other possibilities to the P1762 code.

Thanks for the input.

Default Adjust bands?

Not sure what you mean here, I took the DD in and had the Solenoid and Pressure switch replaced, but didn't know I needed to tell them to adjust the bands. Do you think they would automatically do that? Guess I could call and see. They're not a tranny shop, just my guy that I use when I am not able to do it myself and since I have NEVER done any trany stuff, decided to let him do it.

Also, I didn't know there were 3 solenoids??? I bought one from the dealer $118. Is that all I needed? the pressure switch was $92. It shifts like never before now and I am pretty happy, but if the "bands" need to be adjusted, should I have that done or just hold off?

Thanks

Why not just simply ask him if he adjusted it?
