Your chioce friend, but after you change the battery out and your brake lights are still glowing like a cigarette butts in the night I still think you will have to chase down the real problem, but hey, at least you will know you have a good battery, or mabe 2 cos you already bought 1, at least have it checked, its free !

Yea i know what you mean. I'm sure it's not the battery. I'm also on a Porsche forum and some of the cars were draining fully charged new batteries in hours due to a bad ignition switch. Think that could be the problem here as well? I think think finding a short will take forever trying to look at all possibilities .

Its not a short you are looking for. You are looking for a least a 12 volt draw. Thats not the same as short. Shorts are overloading a circuit causing a fuse to blow. If you think the battery is the problem, try taking both cables off at night and start it the next day. If the battery is flat, you found your problem. If it starts, then you have a 12 volt draw and need to find it. You can use a DVOM or a 12 volt test light. Make sure the headlamp dimmer switch is off or the glove box door doesn't keep the light on.
