Sometimes they warp from being on the shelf.


Also, they come with an oil on them that needs to be removed before install!!!!!!!

 

I've been doing brakes for a very long time, The next time you replace the rear brake drums and shoe. Try this, Lay the brake shoe inside the new drum. And see if the shoe is flush from end to end. Yes you will get lucky from time to time and don't need to resuface the drums. The reason for resufacing the drums is to get a true round and no dragging on the rear shoes.

 

Thank you, I'll keep an eye out for this. The only car I have left with drum brakes is my mustang, and that doesn't get enough miles on it to wear them out anyways!
