Default Heater Core Replacement Check List?

Hello, I need to replace a bad heater core and was wondering if theres a check list of stuff to replace. Since I'll have the heater box out of the truck, I was planing to do the AC Evap Core, AC Expansion Valve, Blower Motor and Resistor. Did I miss something? Should I replace the Hvac duct doors or anything else while I have it out? This is what I was planning on ordering. 1. A/C Evaporator Core SPECTRA PREMIUM Part # 1054186 2, A/C Expansion Valve FOUR SEASONS Part # 39044 3, Heater Core SPECTRA PREMIUM Part # 99341 4.Blower Motor 5, Blower Motor Resistor. From RockAuto. I also installed 2 shut-off valves to the heater core. One on the inlet and one on the outlet Using 1/2in ball valve with 5/8in barbs. It stopped the leak and the AC is colder then ever. Do you guys think driving it for a week like this would be safe?

sounds to me like you got the major parts, the heater core, evap core and blower are the big parts to replace while the dash is out

did you put in a bypass valve on the heater core? or just shutoffs? if you bypassed the core(fluid still flows, just not into the core) you will be fine to drive it, if you just shut it off (fluid cannot flow) im not sure

Yes I just shut them off (No flow). I just took it for a long ride and with ac on, no leaks, temps normal, AC colder then normal. I think I'll be good. I just might keep the valves installed after I do the heater core. Just leave them shut til winter. You think thats wise?

Very doubtful you need a new resistor.

Check the blend door to make sure there are no plastic cracks in the hinges.

Make sure you get the blower/core box sealed back up tightly or you will increase the cabin noise 3X.

Buy a box of zip lock bags that you can write on. Sort, store and label the screws, etc as you take them out. There is at least one bolt on the outside/windshield bolt that needs removed that can be a bear/hidden.

I was thinking since the air is colder now with the heater core shut-off. That the "blend door" is probably bad too or it's components?
Big differentness in temp.
I mean from cool to cold.
I prolly need a part number for that part (blend door or motor)
or whatever
