NOx-ous Problem – 2002 R/T
I am completely bumfuzzled by this car. It has failed its emissions test (Denver CO) 3 times now, for NOx each time. I have spent over $700 putting a new cat on it and replacing the plenum and intake manifold gaskets. It is still showing 2.8 grams per mile (on a dyno test) against a limit of 2.0 grams per mile. The test graph shows that there are pronounced short term spikes in NOx and CO2 (primarily) that occur at the same times during the test. I have no idea what this graph is telling me.
Does anyone have any idea of what is going on with this beast?
