Default Fuel filter

Hey all.
I recently had my 2000 4.7 lt Durango tuned up but as to the fuel filter, I was told that there isn't one to replace as part of the tune up but the one in the tank by the fuel pump. Is that so and how long does it last? My Rango has a bit over 100k.
Thank you all,
TV

Yea,

it's an all in one unit. Pump, regulator, 3 filters, mesh filter, check valve all in one and all in the tank. It's about $200+ bucks. I got about 120k out of my old one.

No trap door, you have to drop the tank.

When mine went out I was praying for a trap door too. It would make sense to have a trap door, but those people who take their Durangos to the stealership for a fuel pump replacement would get charged less for the labor. LOL

I agree, not to mention with a trap door they would've had to disturb less items thus causing less possible trouble....
