Durango 4WD 4.7L V-8 with 3.55 ratio ----- 4400LBS

Now if I remember right I saw the AWD option and it was lowered -200, but I could be wrong. So that being said you should be at 4200 lbs with 1800 pay load. You should check your GVWR on your drivers door pillar.

Would it be wrong to advise changing to lower gears if he wants to pull a camper in the rockies?

Personally, if it where me i would upgrade to the 3.92 gear setup if i where gonna tow a bunch... but, thats just my

if you plan on towing you might think about even higher gears... like 4.1 or 4.56...
