I wonder if the engagement fork came off when you had it apart and was just barely held on. Now have you tried changing the T-case from under the truck manually, or when just barely rolling forward??
No I haven't tried by hand or barley rolling. I've tried from a syopped position in drive park and neutral. How wud I do it by hand??

I put it in neutral and set the parking break and got under truck. I don't know how hards its supposed to be but I cud not get it to shift by hand. I couldn't get a lot of leverage on it but from what I cud do it wudnt budge. Shud I need a hammer or rubber malet?? Wud it be easier to try to get it shift close to shifter or transfercase??

Sounds like a internal transfer case issue... if i where you i would pull it back out and see if you can find anything or would out right swap with a boneyard case....

I'm thinkin I'm gonna have to check the transfercase out. I'm thinkin about dropping the whole thing out instead of leaving it attatched. Anything I have to be carefull about or any special instructions for me? I'm thinkin something is out line or jammed cuz the 4wd and transfercase worked awsome before we took apart to fix leak. Anything wud help. Thanks guys.

Found something out from my buddy when we were workin on the transfercase. The drain plug on the transfercase is hollow and has a spring and float lookin thing. Well my buddy broke it and just shoved a bolt in there that wud fit. Is this ok or shud I buy a new plug and spring float contraption. What is its purpose besides plugging the hole??

Pull it out and fix it right.

It sounds like you dropped the fork, and The drain plug you are talking about is actually the oil pump!!!!

Sounds like you friend dropped out the pump and you guys really screwed it up. Get it rebuilt or swap it for a different one, or get someone that knows how to fix it properly.
