He said he put the spring float thing back in just used a different bolt to hold it all in. Is it still junk?? How mucj does it cost to get a tcase rebuilt or a junk yard replacement cost?? As for the fork where in the tcase is that located?? How will I knkw if the tcase is bad??

You could try to drop it again and get the correct parts for the oil pump.

Open it back up and reset the fork.

Hook the oil pump up correctly when buttoning the thing back together.

.....ect.



OR, you can take it to a shop and have them rebuild it for a few hundred bucks and you re-install.

Junk yards very, but the one here is a "you pick it" style and they charge $50 bucks, junk yards very a lot tho.

To know if it is bad, well that takes experiance. But if it worked before you messed with it, then it should work after unless you screwed something up, it's the basic laws of physics.

I plan on getting a new plug/pump and parts to redo that correctly. Thanks for the info everyone. Before I crawl under and drop tcase is there anything I shud know befoe I unbold it from tranny?? How do I go about resetting the fork??

Will a transfer case out of a 97 jeep grand cherokee v8 work for my durango?
