Default New engine

I just got a 99 5.2 magnum engine rebuilt 100% of the internals are brand new the motor is almost ready to be dropped in i jus gotta put the distrubitor in and all the pullys my question is what kind of oil should i run in it during first start, break in period and after break in period. As for gasoline what brand should i put in it like citgo/ultra/mobil/hess and what octane? Thank you for reading.

+1 Mobil1 from day one.

Any namebrand gas will be fine. Octane requirement is based on the build. Remember, the higher the octane, the slower the burn.

i will agree on the oil, and what indy said about octane requirements is also true, however all the gas in this country comes from the same few (3 or 4 iirc) companies so any station should do, i would stay away from older stations tho.
