Default cutting out at 30-40 mph

I've got an 02 Durango V8 that rides smooth as a baby's ***, except when I'm at 35-40 mph right between accelerating and letting off, it cuts out, and not all the time. At first I thought it was the tranny (automatic) but I think it's in the fuel system, carburetor, or something else, because when it idles, it's not at a steady rpm. But I don't know, I'm not a mechanic, but I know a little. But I do know it's driving me nuts! Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Replace the spark plugs with regular cheap Champion Copper plugs (OEM) and gap them at .040

Could also be your TPS.
