Unhappy Replacing a new door 1999 durango

I wondering how replace a new door for my 99 durango, it's for the right rear side door, I manage to remove the door panel already. But wondering how to remove the wiring harness from the body, do I just pull it out? Anything I should know as well about the hinges, or anything else. Thank you.

If you disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the stuff in the door, you should be able to pull it out through the hole in the door. You'll need to wiggle/pry the wire harness tube out of the door, but it should pull out pretty easily.

If the hinges are good, leave them there. If there's any rust where they meet the new door, sand and hit'em with some rust proofer.

When you put the new door back on the hinges, don't tighten them up right away. get them almost snug, then check for fit/ swing, that it closes properly. Adjust the door and tighten the hinge bolts as necessary.

Hope that helps.

you will have to remove the panel between the front and rear doors to see, but chances are if you want to replace the harness in the door you will have to cut the old one off and solder the new one on bc i would not expect to find a plug in that area
