I recently bought the 15mm rear sway bar bushings part # 5.5167 as listed in the ES catalog page 63 for 4 x4 , but they don't fit. According to my calipers, the bar is 18mm. Not sure if this size is just for the 2002, and I didn't measure before ordering as the catalog only shows one size.

I saw a 2nd Gen Durango in a parking lot the other day, didn't have a tool to measure but from looking at it the bar could be 15mm.

The rep from ES didn't know and wants me to call Monday. I thought I'd post in case those who know may be able to help us here and ES.

Well, I guess I need to return my bushings. As it turns out, just because the catalog only lists one bushing/part # for the 2002 4x4, it doesn't mean that there is only one - it means they only make "that" one.

The 15mm isn't the only rear sway bar for this truck. From what the rep says it sounds like the rear sway bar may be bigger for vehicles with towing packages. And of course, they don't make one that is 18mm.

Most likely the end links are the problem anyway.

I couldn't figure out what was rattling in the rear every time I hit a bump until I checked those end links.
What pos's they are too.
The bushings on these seem to be fine still but the lower portion has a small ball joint and it is totally wore out on both sides.
I'm sure that if I hit one hard enough what ever is left of the ball would pop out.

If you wish to spend about $70 or more each you can get new ones that have grease-able joints.
If not I found some at O'Rielly's for about $25 each.

You should still be able to find new bushings, just need to look at another supplier.
