Default switchback led

anyone here bought a set of switchback led's for their front turn signals?

I'm looking to clean up the front end of my white Durango with some white bulbs instead of those amber ones.. but I'd like to keep it aok with the police by keeping the turn signals flashing amber when signaling..

I've seen many different manufacturers (or at least websites/ebay sellers) and wondered what you guys think.. thanks!

bonus points for keeping cost down (seen most bulbs around $100 for 2 pair shipped)

Just as an FYI any lighting facing forward (such as front park lights and turn signals) must be Amber colored when lit (notice the wording) same for along the sides. any rear facing lighting must be Red colored when lit...

Take a good look at a semi at night the next time you can...

Im a truck driver so i know these things... lol make sure to post up some pictures if you swap out your lights up front

the way they work is they are white (like daytime running lights (see picture below)) when on and then when the turn signal is switched on the white leds turn off and the ambers flash until you've completed the turn..

here's a good video of what i'm talking about..

They key word is when lit. So as long as they turn the appropriate color when needed it would be fine.

I know what your talking about now, I have seen them on Audi's lately. Not a bad setup, but not a big fan either... if you do it, post up some pics...

the solution to fast flashing LEDS is to put a resistor in the line.
