I would start with the Fuel cap..seeing as how it's cheap...get a new cap, reset the PCM and see if it comes back on....if it comes back on...might be the Evap canister hoses under the truck....
+1 on the gas cap, you can test this by either pulling aplastic bag tight over the gas cap, or coating the oring on the gas cap with vaseline to improve the seal short term.
also check the FAQ thread for the DIY on replacing the hoses to the charcoal canister.
Well I didn't get the cap yet, But I did crawl under the vehicle and found 1 hose to the canister dry-rotted so I replaced them all...Maybe that was it...? I'm still gonna get the gas cap friday tho...Later....
