Hypertech Power Programer III is the way to go. I have done research on these programers and found that this little peace of equipment has all the tricks you need and very easy to read. Just make sure your battery is fully charged before you start reprogramming your truck.

OK, I have checked my gas milage after driving with the superchip programmer
in the highest performance setting. I filled it up, went 262.5 miles, city driving mainly
and filled it up again after about a month.( I dont drive it everyday.) It took 18.5 gallons
of gas to fill it again. So I got 14.1 MPG. That is up from the 13.2 MPG I was getting
before the programmer. Not a lot of difference. but I'll take it.
