I have a 2000 4wd durango, 4.7lt, with a bad trans, the 45 rfe. I have found another 45 rfe that came out of a 04 truck, 2wd. Is it possible to put the 2wd trans in my 4wd if i switch out the tail shafts? and will the electronics all work together?

 

i believe it will work, but wait for master tech to confirm, he is the local transmission expert

It would be easier to just find 4wd 45rfe. Like shrps said mastertech will know.
