Default looking at buying 99 durango

I am looking into buying a 99 durango and would like to get some advice from you... it has an A/C issue as well as a transmission sensor in highway gear issue, and needs a new window motor..... I don't really know what kind of cost I am looking at to fix it. My dad is very mechanical and will do most of the work. they are asking $800 for it. how much might it cost to fix? would this be a wise purchase, or end up costing more than it's worth to fix?

Need more info. Any rust, how many miles.
Trans sens should not set U back more then $100 at a shop,
A/C depends on what's wrong I guess. new window motor?

Go to www.rockauto.com and price the parts for a start.

I paid $4000 last Aug for my 99 D and do not regret it at all. It had 104,000 when I got it. The tires were new. I did front brakes, exhaust, fluid change, plugs, wires, rotor and cap. Shocks are next. There is a thread "how much did U pay for your D. look for it.

Thats pretty cheap I think. Hell I paid 1k for a 99 4x4 salvaged that needed a door and rocker pulling.

A good transmission will cost you around 2k-3k. Don't believe that it is just a sensor or the seller would have fixed the issue before selling.

A/C issue shouldn't be too bad but maybe in the line of under $500 for everything if he does it.

Offer $500 and plan on another $3000 just in case tranny needs rebuild and other issues
