Default How do I replace the 4WD switch ?

Hey everyone,
I have a '02 R/T with AWD. I just bought a switch on ebay to replace mine. Does anyone have a diagram on how to replace this or simple instructions? Thanks.

The mode sensor is on the drivers side on the main body about 1/2 way up. You have a NV244 transmission.

Are asking about the switch on the dash or the sensor/motor under the truck?

That didn't answer our question.

He asked about the Dash or the T-case. Generic answers like "The switch in the truck" will get ya no where.

That tells me inside the truck AKA dash. I'm working on it.

woops ... Yes it's the 4WD switch on the dash ... There is no light on the switch and I don't feel it locking into 4Hi or 4Lo so I figured that the switch was broken.

It helps to actually chech back with your threads instead of going week or better between posings. We then have to read the whole thing and start over again each time.

To answer your question, check your fuse/relays. If good check for power at the switch, no power figure out why, if power check for power at the harness, if no power back trace, if power then most likely the range switch/motor on the T-case or a bad connection on the T-case from corrosion or oil.

Sorry, I have been class for two days for the 2012 electrical. The front cluster panel needs to be removed to replace the switch.
REMOVAL
WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, SEAT BELT TENSIONER, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. DISCONNECT AND ISOLATE THE BATTERY NEGATIVE (GROUND) CABLE, THEN WAIT TWO MINUTES FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM CAPACITOR TO DISCHARGE BEFORE PERFORMING FURTHER DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. THIS IS THE ONLY SURE WAY TO DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, turn the ignition switch to the Unlock position, set the park brake, and place the automatic transmission gear selector lever in the Low position.
If the vehicle is equipped with a tilt column, set the tilt steering column in its lowest position.
Remove the steering column opening cover from the instrument panel.
Remove the two screws in the hooded area above the instrument cluster that secure the cluster bezel to the instrument panel base trim (CLUSTER BEZEL).
Using a trim stick or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool, gently pry around the perimeter of the cluster bezel to disengage each of the snap clips from their receptacles in the instrument panel base trim.
Pull the right side of the cluster bezel away from the instrument panel far enough to access and disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connector for the headlamp switch from the switch connector receptacle.
Pull the left side of the cluster bezel away from the instrument panel far enough to access and disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connectors from the receptacles for the passenger airbag on/off switch (if equipped), the rear window defogger switch (if equipped), the heater-air conditioner control, and the transfer case switch (if equipped).
Remove the cluster bezel from the instrument panel.
