Locker or LSD?

Good points hydra, let not forget how much cheaper a lsd can be compared to a detroit or arb locker. You can get a Dana spicer posi from randy's ring and pinion for $360, a detroit costs $650. If you put in the proper amount of lsd additive it will last a while.

I just want more traction in the winter. I hate how an open diff works, giving power to the wheel without the traction seems idiotic. I also want it for better fish tails in the winter and in wet weather.

Both will work for you, but as far as practicality goes, a lsd is best.

very true... lsd will do you fine. i plan on an arb locker later down the road because i love to off road

Well I'd love to off road too but I dont really have many places to go around Omaha.

how bout a couple hours from omaha? i used to live in lincoln... there may not be anything there like we have here in washington, but you can still get out there and have fun. look arround, google places... plan a trip or something...

a two hour drive for me would take a half tank of gas.

i guess it all depends how much ya wanna do something. ive driven 6 hours for a weekend of wheelin... its expensive ya but if you plan for it and budget it then its all worth it in the end

Yeah, but either way i'll probably get a detroit locker. I like the idea of being locked when on the gas and unlocked when off.
