Unhappy code p1391 po340 ????

have a1999 dorango 5.9 enginecode p1391 and po340 came up truck still runs good is it a crank sensor and should i change it now before bad things happen dont know when it was tuned last only had it for 8 months computer wsa changed this i know it has 49k on it truck is great til now is it going to die on me battery is new dont know what to do i can work on cars well but dorango is new to me and i hear they have there wayshelp would be appriciated

P1391 Interm Loss of CMP or CKP
P0304 Cylinder #4 Misfire

The first one is a crank shaft position sensor located behind the motor on the passenger side, or the camshaft pick up sensor located under the distributor.

The 304 is a miss fire on the passenger side, second back back cylinder. Replace the spark plugs with the cheap Champion Copper spark plug and gap them all at .040 thousands before installation.

thanks i will try that actualy i seen that thefual injector wire was remade by someone for that cylinder so maybe that wire is burged i will replace it and see what happens.. and do a mild tune up anywhey thank you for jogging my brain keep fingers crossed

i think that i fixed it there was a new set of plugs autolite platnum in the glove box when i got the truck so i gaped them put them in and the engine lite has not come on yet drove it for 30 miles still good runs great.it always ran great even when lite was on..hopefully this did it thanks for the help. i will keep ya posted if it changes

when the problems come back take out those platinum POS and put in copper champion plugs

Platinums are to hot and will start to burn the pistons......

There was a reason those plugs were in the glove box, and it didn't mean you just install an unknown plug!
