Default Quick Help with Head Lamps on Durango (Electrical Question)

A while back I installed some new headlights in my 02 Durango, and it was mostly a stock conversion and everything worked, however the lights were total crap..

So for my Bday my brother got me a new set, however the new ones only have a 1 running/blinker/hazer lamps as opposed to the old ones which had a spot for two.

With the wiring setup I have ive got the blinker/hazard/running lamp setup to blink correctly, however it still blinks really fast since 1 bulb from the line is missing and there is not place for a second..

My question is, is it possible to put a resistor in the socket in place of the missing bulb? if so, what Ohm res should I use?

Open to other suggestions.

Ive tried my google Fu at this but havent had much time to really check.. would appreciate quick responses.

just put a bulb into the socket and leave it tucked in there, it will provide the resistance you need and not make and visual difference

I've seen this before and I think the member soldered the leads together on the same bulb. Don't remember for sure tho.

well, I took one of the unused bulbs out and hooked it up to my volt meter and found that its ~2 Ohms, yes 2... So I dug around in my box-o-component but couldnt find one, so im gonna have the wife pick up a pack from Radioshack tomorrow on her way home from work.

Alternately, my dad told me about replacing the flasher with a heavy-Duty flashed which may also solve it.. But chances are Im gonna have to put the repair on hold till next weekend..

Thnx for the replies
