I think that dynomax vt is supposed to be good at getting rid of the droning noise and is a straight through design when you have your foot in it (which is all the time until that pesky peddle on the left has to be used)

Wow the dynomax glasspack sounds pretty aggressive, i dig it. But then again the sound clips are off a 502 crate motor. . . . .

Heres everything they offer in mufflers and how they sound.

Those dynomax products are mean. I may have to either go with a thrush glasspack or a ultra flow muffler

I don't like the sring loaded valve in the dynomax vt. Other then that it is a straight pipe.

So this weekend I hacked out my muffler, I was about 4" off with my cuts as I forgot to measure from the outside of the lap weld on the outlet side, but I couldn't find a saws all so I had to use an old fashioned hacksaw. I got the Thrush Glasspack pn24214 with a 2.5" inlet and outlet, both sides are 2.5" OD. I got it all clamped down and man does it sound mean. Kind of like my neighbors old 6.0L GTO.

I've heard of the valve messing up also. It's designed to be "Fool Proof" but I guess it isn't....whateva... My pal told they've been taking returns of them quite a bit.....I went with the Thrush welded (aluminized)....sounds awesome......

Anyone want a free oem 4.7L muffler??

I would highly recommend the Thrush Glass Pack to anyone. Regardless of application. It might be a little too aggressive for some but holy sh*t I love it.

Hearing ya, I thought at first my Thrush was too small (13" shell),was going to get the glasspack 20" but I grabbed the welded...I'm sold...all under $40 and it's sounds really good...The glasspacks are tried n true though

Yeah I wanted a aggressive sound, You should get a sound clip and attach it on here or do a video. I have the Thrush GP 28" 2.5" in and out. I will get a video/sound clip as well.

Yeah, good idea...people can listen to them on the same thread and compare sounds...Actually,Maybe we should start a "Let's hear your new exhaust thread" or something like that? Juz an idea.
Be a great way to check out different sounds before people invest in exhaust systems...
